Cold Storage & Backups
All customer funds are stored offline in cold storage with backups in a professionally managed secure facility.
To prevent phishing attempts, reward payments and withdrawals may only be made to the address provided when signing up to the service.
Customers are required to provide multiple independent methods of contact so that in the event of a lost key it may be possible to change the withdrawal address, but this will require strict identity verification via multiple channels and withdrawals/payments will be subject to a delay period during which notifications of the address change will be sent on all channels.
I am currently working to implement an automated solution (dead man’s switch).
Until this is implemented, should anything happen to me, a senior police officer (who is a member of my family) has clear instructions on how to return customer funds and access their contact information.
